Oil squirters

Keep seeing these on ebay but wonder if its a part worth renewing or do they require cleaning or should i leave well alone?? Also are the easilly accessable??

It doesnt hurt to clean them .... they supply oil to the top of the engine ..

No need to replace them unless they have been snapped by someone removing pistons wrong. Located under pistons no access unless crank is out i think

Sorry my bad im thinking of oil spray bar not squirters scratch

You know the ones now mate ? Doubt they would block unless something had gone wrong and gettin into the oil as far as i know. Like you say i have heard of the oil spray bar block

We'll while yr on the subject is the oil spray bar easily accessible??

yep just remove rocker cover and unbolt it.

the oil squirters will only need cleaning but you also need to check the spring loaded bolts underneath them to make sure they are working correctly as they sometimes seize

Regular oil changes keep them clear as mine were gunned up bad when I first bought my car and it damaged the cam bob told me they were just full of gunk as the previous owner had obviously not been changing the oil enough
