Test fitting the pace intercooler.
It would need to go in place of where the rad is.
Now gtir rad looks like it can still have a tight fit in front too.
But just thinking if I could get a different fan rad set up that is thinner, or just use the rad and aftermarket thinner fans.

If not is the pace fan kit much smaller or does anyone have one for sale, or a picture of how it looks?

Thanks

When I had a Pace a few years ago I used this set up. Bit tight but all went in. Also had the aircon rad in front. Smile
Cant remember where the fans came from. Might have been part of a kit.

You've a few choices tbh
You can either fit slimline fans in place of the stock ones or fit them in between rad and ic and reverse the polarity so fans run opposite way

Tbh though I don't like that particular pace ic as the pipe work on the right hand side is very restrictive and narrow where as the radtec or nd ic has a much better design.

I bought a car recently from a guy who works for pace and he designed and built his own ic as pace behind the scenes admitted they had made a rather large design error with that particular unit

Yeah Bob, looked at the pipe work to the right side, I will now possibly have to loose my battery as its too big. So either get one of those small Micra batteries, or do a battery to boot job which I really do not want to do.

Rob, was looking at the fan issue especially the one near to where the turbo would be. Iam thinking I can get away with just the one large fan that sits toward the right.

I have always like this intercooler so will just have to make it work. I have various pieces of pipework so will jig something up.

Cheers guys will keep you up to date with progress.
