most use 10w/50 fully synthetic but for road use 10w/40 will be fine

as for all the oil enhancers...........all a waste of money
however ive used fortay fuel injection additive before and that's very good and keeps injectors / valves ect clean but if you use good quality fuel then most fuels now already have a lot of these additives when produced so even that's a waste of money really nowadays

No 10 60 is fine especially for hard use in the summer when ambient temps are high. the 60 indicates the oils viscosity when hot so basically gives the same protection as say a 10 40 when cold but when at optimum temp it provides that bit more protection which is ideal for a track car and any vehicle that's really put through its paces

I use 10/40 and a oil cooler and works well from cold start up to very spirited driving on the road i could not get 10/50 up to optimum working temps on my stack gauge. Red hot summer days 10/50 is what i use but 10/40 is still ok. Track go as said 10/50 or 60

Thats the make i use mate. I did buy a few last time so ain't bought it but they were also doing 5/40 which i feel its not needed as its never that bad temperature wise but protects on cold starts which is never a bad thing

They must have discontinued it. Millers cfs comes in 10w40 so might try that.

They do do titan in the 5w40 but im not sure about it.

Just filled up with 10w50 yesterday Mad

That is it motul 300v (racing) in silver tins i think a lot of people use that (other performance and turbo cars) not sure what peoples thoughts are ?

I was once told that vauxhall 10/40 oil is produced in the same factory and is exactully the same as fucs Titan race without the fancy bottle the lad i know swears thats the truth and i could buy it off him in 6 x5l bottles at a time and save a fortune going halfers with someone else

Wow that motul stuff isn't cheap! I've ordered some millers cfs to try.

In some senses as long as you monitor oil temps and the cheaper you think it is within reason do your oil change slightly early than normal. Glad your sorted

Like you I struggled to get the fuchs 10w50 up to temp, in fact I just couldn't manage it.

The millers isn't really cheaper than fuchs as it's an ester too, call me cheap but I'm certainly reluctant to pay nearly £14 a litre for the motul.

Fuchs did supply GM oil so is possible some of the top range vauxhall branded oils good. Doubt spec exact same as direct brand top products though.
