Didn't know where to post this so I just put it here. This is for the attention of the Admin staff.

For some reason in the last couple of days I keep getting adverts pop up in the form of a blank black box that will periodically move around the screen with the words roll around ads in tiny letters. It's really staring to bug me now.

The strange thing is it only happens on this site and I use ad blocker and no script add ons through Firefox, up to now it's blocked everything. I have reported it a few time now to ad block plus but as of yet nothing has happened, so I thought I'd post it up here to see if you guys have picked anything up.

Pop ups will be on your computer. You may need to do a virus scan.
We don't have any adverts on the site because we pay for them to be removed.

its nothing to do with the forum mate its just pop ups and shit that installs itself off dodgy websites.

try looking in your browser settings and look for extensions, delete any dodgy looking ones. also it might be worth checking your install/uninstall options in the pc settings and delete any unknown software that has been recently installed Smile

I'm on firefox mainly too & also use an ad-blocker.
No ads or popups here ...
Even when did have a ad banner I blocked it via ad-blocker edge, the plus version is w@nk as they sold out for money :-/

Just dug a little further and it seems to attached itself to script akamaihd which in itself is not harmful because I use that for other sites, I've manually blocked them but I did come across this. http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=akamaihd.net

So it looks like I'm going to need to run some virus scanners and such. What a pain.
