hi,

Is it possible to blow a maf, i had an issue a while back where the car was hesitating badly with no power but full boost, feels like a bad boost leak/fuel surge and car only really drives with light throttle, as soon as you put the foot down it hesitates, well the issue came back this morning when i pulled away slowly from 20mph in 3rd gear Sad" alt="Sad" title="Sad"> no error codes showing

i checked everything within my knowledge and switched to a spare maf i had which sorted the issue but now the issue has come back so is there a chance ive blown the maf i fitted?

when i was doing my checks i noticed injector 1 (left) has alot of residue around it, must be leaking or something, could this cause such an issue?

Thanks in advance

Anything is possible in electronics. Have you tried running with it disconnected? From experience it works on most older cars but not newer ones.

Have a look here, http://troubleshootmyvehicle.com/gm/3.5L/how-to-test-the-maf-sensor-1
Grab a multimeter with hz on ebay for peanuts. Once you lern how to use it on the car you'll never need a car electrician again.

It's possible that by switching the maf you reset the code or did some sort of clearing like you do turning a PC on and off. Have you tried the old one since? Would rule that theory out.

I would be very concerened about the injector as if it runs lean bang. Check wires going to maf. How is your breather set up what's the chances its oil residue if it was ok you drive gets dirty on maf wire and causes issues

Do you still have the standard oil catch can and a pipe on the standard pipe to the standard intake pipe from the air filter ?
