Who on here has had their R weighed? Did mine this morning before she comes off the road out of interest. With just over half a tank of fuel it weighed 1280Kg. Did axle weights and side weights as well.

1160kg removed air con and interior (found the official record).
As I remember, the previous measurements with full interior was 1280kg, but I can't belive that the rear seats and carpets are more than 100 kg.

Yeah it's amazing how much all the interior weighs. Surprised it's more than 100kg though

1130 on empty tank, lots of weigh saving mods but I've added a rear diffuser since then (+5?) Once lighter flywheel, poly windows, Bracpan gf rear hatch, front exit & Hispec calipers go on im hoping for around 1100-1110.

The 4 door & rear cards weigh 10kg, there's the seat belts, parcel shelf, shelf side supports roof liner. I left my cards & trim & put thin grey acoustic carpet in as it looked horrible with bare painted metal.Soundproofing removal is supposed to save plenty too.

ive removed sound deadening from my old 200sx and it didnt weigh as much as i thought. maybe 5-6kg....to be honest was easier just having a poo before i went for a drive than removing the sound deadening .

i had a friend who worked for a firm that supplied metal sheets to car manufactures, nissan and a lot of other jap car manufactures use a much higher grade of metal to make there cars(or at least they used too)which is heavier than cheap metal
ford on the other hand wanted the cheapest thinnest metal available and every time they negotiated a price for more they wanted it cheaper and supposedly the only way to get it cheaper was to lessen the quality
