Defiantly need to sort something out I'm sure we'll be able to get a decent list together for a group buy. If we can get them to make some Gti shock inserts then happy days.

I've got a full set of bilstein struts from my gtr35 sitting doing nothing

I wondered the other day funnily enough if I could mount the inserts into the gtir bodies so may have a crack at this.

If it works then there are a lot of people flogging the pre my11 gtr struts as like me they have upgraded to the new Lichfield suspension with more adjustability for road and track

Il try grab a pic of them so you can see what I mean

What size are the strut tubes on the gtr35.
I used 50mm metric tubed GAB strut cases with the bilstein R30 R36 inserts, bilstein will make these inserts to any length too but price goes up compared to off the shelf units. After speaking with mr grim it seems the standard R front strut cases are around 45mm & standard rear 50mm .

I would be interested in a set of koni's as well. Did anyone contact them yet? If not: let me know: its a Dutch company, their R&D is still located in NL, so it would be easy for me to pitch if they would be interested (minimum order quantity) in doing a rerun on the gti-r inserts.

They never did gti-r ones, only gti. They were supposed to suit the gtir very well however.

Sven if you could pitch to them that would be awesome I'm not very good at that sort of thing myself but I'm defiantly interested in a set of inserts and I'm sure we'd be able to get the required interest.

I wouldn't of thought it would be much trouble for them they still do inserts for old 911's and such I believe.

I will send them an e-mail and will let you guys now. Will ask about both inserts and a possible kit. Let's see what they come back with.

Problem is that their UK contact is just their UK distributor (Trevor Leigh from Andrew paige). Whilst he is endlessly helpful I dont know how much clout he has.

You.may need to try and contact their european or maybe American offices for these kind of enquiries?

I wonder if it's something Bob can help out with? I'm sure he has plenty of contacts.
