The car is still in bits after the 25th meet, splitting a coolant hose on the oil cooler then pulled the wires out of a connector under the inlet manifold, (when trying to replace it) I just need to get a complete set of silicone hoses, where is the best place to get them from ?

Personally I would just buy new Nissan ones think they are better than any of that silicone rubbish, and from what I've seen of some of them they really are a very poor quality

Your probably right Bob, but I might not be able to resist orange ones, although I will have to show them off with a mirror on a stick.

This post is useful thanks guys I think one of my hoses at the back has split / perished as it dropped most of the water out and a tone of steam coming from the back of the inlet! I'd imagine they are the original hoses and being 24 years old can't complain too much! The samco kit in Amber performance is a great price, I'll be buying those

Genuine nissan ones not much more plus a perfect fit & you already know they good for almost 25 years. I agree with bob on most of the silicone hoses .

I got mine from Nissan in the end, as although not as colourful they only took two weeks to arrive, should be good for another 24years.

Have we had part numbers to help if people go the Nissan route

Thermal

There was a thread here about the part numbers

http://www.gtir-motorsport-club.com/t5268-useful-info

I hope it helps, I will see if I can post up my reciept but the numbers dont mean a lot unless you have the catalogue to reference them against.

I bought a 9 piece gpi set off ebay and after they finally came thery were rubbish. One or two ply on the pipes in places so thought it's not worth it so i bought samco off amber performance which took a whole month and abit. When they did come, the quality was second to none

I've fitted the ones Bebb was selling and they seem pretty good for the price.

How much did you pay for the gpi set? Id be dirty paying alot and not even being able to use them

mc_hawkings24

About 34quid, looks like they've gone up in price on ebay now. I didn't know they were gpi until they turned up but i could've used them but what if one burst, well that would've been a drama.

TBF my cars fitted with the hoses I sell and runnning over 300bhp, and yes sometimes theres 1 in 10 sets thats faulty just like anything else you can buy.

Bought samco pipes 3 years ago and 2 of the ancillary hoses were to short. Mad

Im just trying to keep parts going for the pulsars, which is why ive made the custom pipes cos Nissan can overcharge to the extreme.

mc_hawkings24

Thats fine mate i only bought samco because after watching this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqEK9XdZ7KM it changed my mind and when i had them both side by side it was like comparing a pair of firm 18yr olds breasts to a pair of saggy 70yr old breasts
