Pulsar GTI-R is probably the only car ive ever really really wanted to own but never managed to get around to owning one, luckily ive ended up with a big spec one, from what i can see there is NO rust where these normally go.

Exterior wise she is a bit tired but ill sort that with a respray over the winter. Ill be dropping it up to Dunner later in the week for a good root around and hopefully she will be under sealed and seeing the road by Monday :happy)

Few poor pictures ive taken so far (will update pics when allowed)

Welcome! That's an excellent spec & sounds like the engine could produce loads more power with suitable remapping! Make sure 15" wheels will fit over your brakes before you buy tho!! Look forward to lots of pics!

Nice spec for only 330bhp .... sounds like it could handle abit more than its mapped to at the moment ....

Thank you Very Happy Yes ive found out a few details for an Irish enthusiast who knew the car/owner for the last 10 years, its was a quick map just to have it driving, should realistically push 370 - 380bhp at the fly upwards with the spec id imagine, any SR20 drift engines ive had would be around 400bhp ish with less spec

Cheers fella, no idea id like to never see them again when removed! Although when it was ran through the NCT (MOT here in Ireland) he put four new falkens on them, ill have a look next day im at the car

Id like to see another 50bhp or so for the spec to be honest, i dont think reaching 400 bhp is out of the question with it, but the harder its pushed the more the box will explode i presume haha

Genuinely have no idea, i plan to call the company that done the work and see about a remap & see if they have a figure matched to the car on record

That should see well over 400 with that spec but you're right about the gearbox

More power more trouble gearbox wise? Or is it just first gear launching that kills them?

From my experience you can blow the box at any power, Iv done 3 gear boxes and stripped 3rd every time! Once with a bog standard car (it was kind of my fault really) and twice at 407bhp! Just forked out for a quaife 3rd gear set, hopefully this should do the trick!

Always just 3rd gear?

So finally i can post pictures lol. Its quite tatty looking and probably hasnt been washed in 6-7 years and definitely needs a respray imo. (First post)

Been busy gathering bits and pieces for this lady over the last month, i brought the car up to a local guy in Ireland that knows these inside out. Turned out an oil leak i had was a cracked sump, sump replaced now so all good again on that end.

So whats been done in the past few weeks:
Sump replaced
Cheaper oil ran through and dumped out after 15 minutes for some nice Fuchs 15/50 Pro R
New Redline shockproof gearbox oil put in, need to do the diff and transfer box next
New Genuine oil and fuel filters
New Iridium plugs
Front Wilwoods bled but im still finding them piss poor?

Car is running much better but still it needs a new map on it.

Picked up so far:
A clean passenger side headlight and indicator to match the drivers side
Spare rear lights as one on the car is cracked
Got a set of matching cleaner front seats (need a rear also)
Picked up a mid boot spoiler off Stu on here
Spare gearbox bought

Should be in for mapping shortly so we will see how that goes

Getting some TLC
