Just noticed my proximity sensor sitting under the gearstick gator.
Wouldnt this be better placed in the open rather than under something?

I have one too in similar place, they need be mounted fairly central to car to aid equal coverage and as long as no major metal obstacles they tend be fine & centre console area is common spot for alarm installers to mount them.

It works when it wants to woody. Sometimes i only have to walk passed the car and it makes a noise.
Other times i can lean on it and nothing happens.
