Supernova

This turned up yesterday If my radiator wasn't broke I would've fitted them today.

Just took the gear linkage apart Smile
Heres how it looks.
This bush looks dead.

And this rubber bush that sits at the back of it all is split both sides. And doesnt have any resistance at all. Its very sloppy.

And the ball and socket has movement also. You can pullet up and down about 1mm each way. Its not a tight fit.

The spring is fine tho.
That poly bush above. Is that what replaces my worn bush on this arm. In my first 2 pictures?

Yeh that bush fits in gear support rod front mount (bush is about £5)
The rear that goes into that rubber mount can be changed into a solid mount by replacing the rubber block with bit of box section welded in & drilled for bolt direct or oversized & a poly bush lathed down to fit.
Shimming or replacing the ball could be good too .

I made a solid mount from old rubber mount & used a bit of tubing & steel plate then found a poly bush slightly bigger than tubing & lathed it down, works well & even solid mount works ok & can buy them (in USA find them easily).
If buying those front bushes, you want try a group buy or just buy a few from US then resell & split postage into resale costs as would be good for uk/eu members to have slightly better source than the eBay priced ones.

Thanks again. I have requested a postage price from the usa site.
I will make a solid bush for the rear with box section as you mentioned Smile

^ good find for price/availability uk/eu .
do prefer the g-spec poly bush, interesting see what postage is to uk from usa, I would buy 5 & sell 4 with p&p split 5 ways as should work out reasonable as they small & low cost but hard say for sure as some postal charges from US are crazy .

Thanks Leighton Smile
Yeah i bolted it to the bracket. It has raised the bracket away from the bottom of the car with the bolt heads. But i have compensated for that with the hole for the counter weight.
The counter weight doesnt have a purpose now but i have made sure it sits in the original location Smile
