I've got complete 3inch front pipe that includes a 3 inch elbow ..
Fantastic bit of kit .

In my opinion it's one of the best mods you can do to a pulsar

RO_SUNNY made ones at 3" are better than these 2-3/4" lobster type ones.
Having said that either above are better than oem.
ideally want port standard manifold along with adding elbow as makes big difference to exhaust gas flow/ turbo spool.

That is a shame as his work, materials & effort was pretty much top notch ...
Main problem with lobster ones was originally didn't have standard lambda sensor, second issue is construction not as bomb proof as bogdans (RO_SUNNY) or as free flowing.
here's the thread on the lobster ones >

Hmmm a difficult one by the sounds of it Il see if I can get hold of a 3inch one I know some pro welders in the drag racing scene that produce top drag cars and I'm sure I could get him to price some up if I can give him one to look at

I bought one of that bloke, Bob will confirm it ' shocking ' I think will describe it, and when I sent it back, wouldn't reply and had to open a case to get a refund so beware. the sensor hole was too big and in the wrong position, trying to think what else was wrong, oh yeah just shit welding

do these elbows works better than the 3" elbow or same? also put up a thread about the blackpool elbows and on bogdans elbow waiting list, guess theres alot of waiting now.

actually why not a 200sx elbow off ebay going cheap and slice it up?

To be honest I don't know I've got am performance and it made huge difference but i only can compare it to the standard one

I have had all 3, am bogdan and blackpool lol. Currently have the blackpool one and as mentioned Bob saw one and said it was thin metal and wouldnt fit it but tbh I have had mine fitted for a while now and had it glowing bright red many times and it hasnt faulted.

Ideally you want as little welds as possible but this one looks to be a re hashed 200sx elbow hence the incorrect lambda sensor although he now does them in the correct possition and the right boss. Cant comment on his customer service other than him offering to weld me a boss in as I brought one of the first ones without it fitted but seems fine to me. Spike also has one fitted I think? The 3" to 2.5 ensures it fits right onto a goose dp which it did no problem.

People also moan about the AM been thin and the flexi is of poor quality I know Party Petes car had one fitted and it wasnt the bigest of bores. As with all things related to Pulsars people have a wide opinion.

How thin are we talking? i was just looking at tubing, flanges and making one, 2mm is the steel i was looking at. How does your elbow compare to standard?

Was wondering if you bought new, gostek as its alot imported by looks of it

In which way mate?? Performance wise it's a hell of a difference I've got gt2871r + this elbow and it starts boosting from around 2.5k rpm and it start to scream at 3.5k rpm one of best mods I'd say
Quality wise hmm I've got it 2nd hand put it on year ago and nothing cracked yet. Tubing itself is around 2mm thick and you can get just elbow by it self without downpipe

I was thinking of getting a 2871 then get the r next winter but I might buy or get a 3inch elbow made up then get the 2871r next winter and If I can get a 3 inch elbow Il get it priced up for more to be made

Good idea luke a good quality uk supplier as stated above about the am elbows makes it costly due to import ....

Just looking at this elbow (custom auto fabrications one) don't like to slag anyone work but I'd be little bit ashamed to put something like that on sale... Looks bit like some welder apprentice has done it... I believe Roman was using two 90deg bends welded together
