Pulsar GTIR

1991-Nissan-Pulsar-GTI-R-Front-Three-Quarter-Black

Another Nissan, another SR20 engine. A Pulsar GTIR is not a car that my girlfriend would like me to have, but then again she doesn’t like me leaving cupboard doors open and we get over that. But I do admit it takes boxy styling to a new level, you thought the 4th gen civic was boxy, well Nissan saw that and thought “what if we had an even more boxy car and then put a box on the bonnet?” And boom a very capable but ultimately unpopular car was born.

Developed as a homologation for the World Rally Championship the Pulsar GTIR came in two main variants for the road and never achieved success in motorsport. It’s SR20 engine was slightly different from the the ones found in the 200sx with a higher output and the car benefited from four wheel drive. Unfortunately engine bottom end problems do abound but can be fixed.

The cars original unpopularity is that which we benefit from today. Low production numbers of a high performance car has resulted in a perfect storm for price increases going forward.

My Choice: Aim for a lower mileage UK car. Then drive it like you stole it.

Stay away from: Dogs. Not actual dogs, but cars that look like they have had a rough life. These cars are seriously rapid, but have some complicated components so you don’t want a ragged one.

The guy obviously knows fuck all about a gtir and has made that write up sound like its based on what he has read on Google lol
I hope he is only 15 and learning, as I think my son could do a better write up than that Laughing

Lol clearly has no idea. "Aim for a lower mileage UK car. Then drive it like you stole it" this sums up why so many people buy cars, flog them  whip  and then wonder why they break lol
