Spigot bearings usually go in the end of your crank where it mates up to your gearbox shaft. And just depends on the condiditon of your old one but wouldnt hurt for that sort of money.

Is it inside the crankshaft near the flywheel end? I don't recall seeing this when i stripped my engine recently  Shocked

Yep you've got it, they're inside the crank at the flywheel end that the input shaft of the gearbox locates into, it would be a light press fit in there so may well still be in the crank?

gtir does not run a spigot bearing which is probably reason why so many have noisy input shaft bearings
