1 GTI-R parts to upgrade a GTI on 21st December 2015, 7:59 pm

Hello,

Im looking to find wich part of a GTI-R are a upgrade for a GTI with a SR20DE instead of a DET.
I already have a GTI-R radiator from alloy and that is a massive upgrade. I also found that the water outlet from the cilinderhead of a R is bigger than a GTI, so thats a upgrade aswell.

While most parts of a R fits nothing else than a R, i was wondering if you guys know more parts than just the radiator or the outlet.

Thanks!

Engine wise not a lot if your planning to keeping it SR20DE.

Aftermarket alloy engine parts like:
Alloy power steering bottle
Fuse box cover
Front screen water bottle reservoir
Gtir upgraded rad
Gtir upgraded water rad hoses
Gtir upgraded brakes
Gtir upgraded induction kit
Gtir upgraded coilovers
Gtir upgraded rear anti roll bar
Gtir upgrded front and rear strut braces

To upgrade the sr20de you are better off looking at sr20ve or sr16ve compatible parts as an upgrade.

Gtir upgraded coilovers.

Are you sure GTI-R coilovers fit a GTI? That would be nice, because BC for example has more choice RNN14 fitted than N14, but the dont advert it for the GTI

The bc coilovers in my car are from a fwd n14 pulsar. However the rear sway bar mounts are different. So to make them work in my GTIR I had to buy new rear lower mounting brackets from BC.

Yes fit. But as above need adjusting on the rear sway bars.
I think I have actually done away with the rear anti roll bar to get the coilovers on.
Will check later.
I have d2 coilovers on my Sunny Gti now listed for a Gtir.

I actually still have the old rear mounts for the BC's so if anyone wants them for their fwd let me know. I'm happy to give them away.

Just for info the R mount is lower and on a slightly different angle.

Thats Nice! Because of the SuspensionTechniques rear swaybay i have (from a Sentra/NX2000 B13) thats not a probleem for me. That swaybay is mounted at the bars of the suspension arms, and not at the shocks.
Like this: (but not my car)

Actually still managed to fit it with the anti roll bar. So yes fits. But with adjustable coilovers made it easier. Don't think standard gtir non adjustable suspension would work on the rear.
