1 Please help identify this gear on 12th February 2016, 3:26 pm

I am in desperate need of a 4th gear, and trying to find out if the one that Stu has is right for me.

My 4th gear is mashed and is hard to identify the number of teeth but we have triple counted and seem come out with 44 & 42 teeth every time, measurements ROUGHLY 75mm and 80mm diameter.

My 4th that is knackered:-

The pic below if the gear which may or may not be right.

But it comes out at 41 teeth and 45 teeth on the other, measureing 75mm and 80mm (same diameter as I measured)

Can anyone confirm if this is a 4th gear? im confused at the different no. of teeth scenario...

Does anyone have a gearset around that they can get definite teeth count and measurements off?

Taking a look at the service manual, 4th on the Rs5F50A gearbox is definitley 44 input and 42 main,
No Sunny/pulsar gearbox has a ratio of 41/45 from what it says,
The nearest match appears to be the RS5F31A fitted to the 4WD GA16DS engine with 41 input 38 main for 4th gear as it happens. This gearbox also happens to have 45 teeth but for the 5th gear input.
Is it possible its these gears you have eg 4th & 5th input gears?
Very Happy

These gears, 41 and 45 teeth are from 5th gear out of an RB close ratio gearbox. Stu already has this information.
