How do I split the rear hubs so I can get the dust covers off please?

Hub nut .... bottom bolt holding the hub dont forget to remove caliper just hang it up off the spring with a couple of cable ties ...... then two bolts that hold the suspension strut that will remove the hole hub ....

Ye I've got the hub off and totally stripped down but I need to separate the hub itself to get the break disc dust core off.basicall do I need to get the wheel bearing out or something cos I can't see how to part it

I think you'll more than likely have to replace the wheel bearings mate

press out, drive out the hub spindle (universal bearing/hub removal/install kit are handy). once removed you can then get shield off the hub knuckle ...

I used one of these kits to do all 4 on mine, using a air gun makes it easier with the tool:

I'm with the welsh wizard on this.
I got a set similar to that, works great, used it on mitsi subarus & the old nissan, makes job easy & far better for bearing cartridges .

The right size socket on a half inch shaft knocks the hub out really easy. Could do bearing with my eyes shut now. Thanks
