Hi guys was wondering if you could help.

Bit of info to help try understand the problem.

Car has been parked up since october 2014 so as you can imagine brakes may be seized. I have the car at a local garage having some welding done , they have changed the brake pipes and told me the disks and pads are fine just needs to be driven. They are working on the abs as light is on and tbe welding and should pass mot after this.

Now the problem, i drove this car around 300miles when i first bought it, so i expected it to be a little struggle on acceleration. However in 4th and 5th gear the car seemed to judder and lack speed even now it seems like the car wants and can do more but just struggles over 60mph.

Now the battery is weak so needs a new battery, there wasnt a overflow bottle which i have now bought. Just wanted to know if this is common or wer i stand with this. Could this be because of the battery or is this something else? I can see there is an after market ecu ,been told it has the 350z injectors. So could this just be the map has been set up incorrectly?

Any ideas on where to start?

Make sure the fuel is fresh as old fuel looses it's octane level and affects the fueling.
When you say it's struggling to make power.
Is it sluggish or miss firing?
I would check the dizzy cap and rotor arm.
Check what ecu is actually on the car.
Check all vacuum hoses as they may have perished or split.
A picture of the engine bay would be good so we can have a look and see if anything isnt fit correct or is missing..

Probably just needs a good service and once over if its been sitting a while. As Stu says there could be something else that's missing or isn't right too. Could even just be damp in some of the electrical connectors under the bonnet needing dried out...

Midlands area ? I know maybe you have spent a lot and done a lot of miles but have a word with bob. If it's been sitting and more so if it has different injectors maf. I would possibly spend that bit more he could possibly give it a once over and check the car is fueling ok etc

There's br motorsport in Birmingham, I haven't used them myself but heard good things and has built his own high powered pulsar. Might be worth a look as he's local to you?

Thank you pete i will give them a call ones car is back to have it checked up.

I watched a video on youtube and the same idle noisr and loss of power issue was due to a hose pipe behind the intake i will go check mine and see if anything is not connected correctly or if it is split. I hope it is something small.

On my way to the car now so should have pics within 30 minutes.

Ok so i have tried to poat the picture but it wont allow me until 7 days later due to admin rules.

I have just checked the injectors and ecu and both seem to be a standard part nothing upgraded.

In regards to the welding i need to buy new sills which would work out cheaper so i am on the hunt for these.
