Need some input on supposed Nismo center differential

Alright, when researching GTi-R diffs, I came across a few threads that say that people have verified that the Nismo diff, part number 38420-RS426-US (which is actually listed for a USDM 93-97 Altima), will fit a GTi-R trans.

Here is the link to the part:
https://www.gspec.com/p-4801-nismo-limited-slip-differential.aspx

However, some of the threads I was reading, I believe mistakenly referred to it as a GTi-R front diff.
If this part is the Front differential in a FWD Altima (which is in the gearbox), When used in the GTi-R trans, wouldn't it then become the center differential, since the center is in the gearbox and the front is in the transfer?

Has anyone figured this out?  I have a Modena front LSD in my transfer, and a Nismo 2 way in my rear diff, I'd love to complete the whole thing and get a good center diff too, especially since that whole thing with Modena and their center diff didn't pan out.

Not sure I want to spend $1000 just to find out I'm wrong though. Both the Altima and GTi-R share the RS5F50A transaxle, so in theory this should work as a Center diff for the Pulsar.

Thoughts?
Thanks
Ryan

The 38420-RS426-US or 38420-RS426 38420-RR426 is a front lsd diff it not a centre diff.

38760-RS420 38760-RS421 or 38760-RR420 38760-RR421 are nismo centre diffs .

But it's listed as a front diff for an Altima FWD trans. If used in a GTi-R, wouldn't that make it the center diff since it would have to go in the gearbox and not the transfer?

it could not be used as a 4wd centre diff .

I guess that answers that lol. Damn it, why won't someone make one that's reasonably priced?

I don't know, $3500AUD isn't very cheap for me, although I'm sure it's of very high quality, I have a Modena front diff and it's fantastic. I just wish I could find something that works in the $1000-$1500 range

last I heard from Frank, he had 5 on the shelf that were assigned to buyers, but unknown if he ever actually sold any of them. I'm assuming people backed out because of the price.

Hi there, Yea the last I heard to was there were some made but the price was nearly double the original estimate, so I can only assume they are still sat there! I'll drop him an email and let you know!

I spoke to Frank and he has sold the 5 centre diffs he made, I have asked him if he would be interested in making some more, if the price remains the same with current exchange rates works out about £2000 + shipping and Tax.

Cheers

And what did he say?

Waiting to hear back from him regarding making more!

He's probably gonna tell us to fuck all the way off hahahahaha

Ha yea it was a thanks but no thanks!

The last 5 he made have only just all been sold. If we had 5x 50% deposits we may be able to approach him again and see if he was interested. But thats a lot to ask and he said it would also be a good 8 month wait with the current work load before anything could happen!

Hell, I'd give him a 100% deposit if he could get to if faster than 8 months lol

Ha I think even with 200% payment it would be 8 months! We are a very very small fish compared to some of the stuff they do!

Yea, you got that right. I've seen some of their motorsport transmissions.
