How’s everyone ? been checking in but not posted much. Looking forward to the warmer weather that’s for sure. I just finished a big electrical job on a government building. Biggest job the company has ever done and I ran it from start to finish and hit all targets so that’s a bonus.

Car wise nothing with been away since July but as always got plans. Not bought anything in ages

^ That sucks . Get Johnny and stu down do a bit of brum and geordie on the principal ...
Sad that you can get vandalised and have no financial recourse and school ignoring the issue of safety for an incident that has happened twice .
I not up to much nissan, got a subaru 2.5 test assembled and get final assemble over next week and a hitachi forklift waiting for hydraulic parts .

I'm stuck in Niger for the foreseeable future, until I get a vacation, so the Pulsar is just waiting patiently for me in the garage. I do have a boatload of new parts to install when i get home though.

Not much been happening up here mate. Its bad enough trying to keep the R clean yet alone doing anything mechanical on it. In saying that though i took a halfy on friday to do a few jobs. NSR handbrake wasn't holding so took that off only to find the dust seal looked like a torn welly and piston partially seized! Managed to free it off so it would work until i get new one fitted next weekend. Fitted new rear pads and braided hoses while i was in there too. Also got the upper engine mount polybushed too. Some heathen had obviously noticed the bush was fucked so rather than fix it had filled it with tiger seal; arseholes!
Weather permitting next weekend will get that caliper swapped out and fit the replacement locks im getting from Rob, it sucks having two different keys and a broken tailgate lock Sad

Same old same old here.
Work is slow atm bits and bobs coming in..
Waiting for the warmer weather so I can get jobs done on the car that I've stock piled parts for lol
No doubt when the warm weather comes tho I will have to much work on to sort the car out.
Still driving it daily Smile
Need to commit to a few events this year.
I just feel I'm a bit to old for standing around cars all day tho.

Well this weekend is the weekend I finally put 1000 miles on my new engine (it’s taken like 6 or 7 months to do it with all the crap weather) and mike adjusted the timing and checked a few things over and took it out for a play as the weather has been perfect this weekend and what a difference! The car feels sharper and more aggressive than ever, really put a smile on my face, I forgot how fast it is. My mate has just bought a 600bhp r35 gtr so at point in the next week we’re going to have a second gear rolling start drag race....I’ll put the results up! Finally managed to sort a new unit out as we were chucked out the old one, so come May when the insurance runs out I’ll have some where to strip the car down and do all the other work that needs doing on it. Not been able to do anything to it on my nans driveway with all the crap weather we have had

I don't have a wallet johnny, pulsars and a wife mean I only have enough change for iced green tea and I normally walk for that with a pump truck to save the forklift fuel :-)
You seem be busy all the time Johnny and working away, I do some work away but don't enjoy it like I use to . you a workaholic I think ! . We do pretty long days here when add in commute time but work is slower paced than you guys in the west .

Looking on the positive side, if folk are busy at work that means job security and a decent income to spend on shiny bits (that we never have time to fit!!)

Meanwhile up in the oil capital of Europe, everyone's still miserable and fearing for job security and have been for over two years...

Had the pulsar out a few times as they are made for driving not storing lol!

Had a dodgy starter so I stripped the off the plenum and throttle bodies to change it, bench tested it and it was all good so checked battery and voltage was at 10.6v  duh anyway battery on charge engine back together and started up no problem.

Got fault code 34 so stripped the off the plenum and throttle bodies again and checked knock sensor resistance which was good so replaced the knock sensor wiring, took her for a spin fault code gone, happy days however noticed it was running really lean on light throttle so back in the garage to find out one the injector seals was leaking so that job will be done at the weekend cant fix it

Looking forward to attending a few meets over the next few months and catching up with you guys thumbsup

Next time you pass the county court ask them for a small claims summons form. Fill it in with your claim for £x plus your costs, pay the small fee and send it off. You don't need a solicitor.
They have 30 days to pay or it gets heard in front of a judge.

I've done this on 3 occasions, put up with the resultant solicitor threats etc, got to court in front of the judge and won in 30 mins. The other times it they paid up a day before it got to court.
You've nothing to loose mate.

I have no money since buying the bimmer and house saving.
Cars now been garaged (finally) for nearly a year. Still needs sills and rear 1/4 doing before it's in for test but no money is no money.

I came across some parts I bought, some proper front brakes, nice manifold, that turbo elbow we all bought. Totally forgot I had them all.

I do need the brace/cradle for the rear diff and the two bolts if anyone has one! I lost mine when I rebuilt the rear.

Least it’s garaged will and yes life other commitments take over but don’t loose faith return to it as and when you can. I know once you don’t drive them for a while you don’t push but once done and you drive them it’s like why did I leave it that long

I won’t name names but I will closer to the time but this person will know who I mean. I just want to share my appreciation. Can I just say tho if anyone offers you help ( in this case a R related but anything ) no matter what they say don’t take things for granted if they travel etc cover minimum there fuel bill and and couple extra beer tokens. As it happens they won’t be traveling but giving up there time to help me so I won’t take no for a answer and they will get well paid and the fact if I can ever help them I will.

Basically there are lots of us on here who will help each other even if we busy our selfs. These people normaly only meet through here or the shared interest in R’s. If they do offer don’t be the one who takes free advantage even if they say otherwise as it may one day spoil it for others

I did the hard work which was underside and subframe. I've got an escort sat around it as well so that hampers progress Laughing
