Hi all,
Ive been an R owner for the past 9 years, currently a member on the OC forum, username Britishrallying. Not been a active member for a while as I nearly sold the R earlier this year in favour of a new project but couldn't bring myself to do it.
Im currently stripping the whole car down for a full restoration project. Very very little rust on the shell, so worth doing. Not rushing the project or going big power but certainly hoping it will be a head turner when back on the road. Its currently running 330.6bhp ;-) @ 1.3bar on the last rolling road day I did, be happy with around 380bhp with a bit more tinkering..
Currently need the following bits, well in a year or so
:
New suspension all round - coil overs
New injectors - currently standard
Turbo Recon or a new bigger one (currently standard)
Z32
New wheels - always liked the OZ Superleggera
Full respray
Near side rear wheel arch trim (damaged it years ago on a concrete fence post doh)
Near side rear wheel arch (the only rust spot!)
Front un cut bumper
Rear Bumper
Near side Indicator
Fuel filler neck
Possible brake upgrade
New windscreen
.........
Once car stripped, will flip it over on a home made rotisserie, and attack the underseal remove old and renew, all brake a fuel lines replaced (as they are heavily corroded
) all running gear off to sand blasters.
