I have an electric autometer fuel pressure gauge. When I turn the engine off the gauge still reads what ever the preassure was at the time I turned the engine off. Since I havent been running my car much I can't remember but from memory I think it used to return to a 0 reading. Can anyone confirm? Gauge appears to be functioning normal other than this.

Hmmm seems to be working fine so ill just leave it. Seems weird though, the oil pressure gauge I have doesn't do this.

Fuel system maintains pressure so maybe it was always like that !
If you bleed off the pressure does the gauge respond correctly by showing reduced pressure - 0 !?
Not used autometer gauges so have no knowledge of their functions .

I also have a gauge on the rail before the reg and it shows 0 so I know the line doesn't have pressure. Maybe I'll try changing the earth on the gauge. It isn't a big deal just thought id ask.

I have similar with my stack gauge and soon as you turn the ignition back on it resets and its not faulty. Think its my water temp one

Its electronic the rest are mechanical ( sure its the sensor re calibrates) when ignition goes back on

Yeah that's right johnny, it resets soon as the ignition is back on. Thanks for that thumbsup just odd because the fuel and oil pressure sensors I use are exactly the same and it's only one gauge acting like this scratch
