Looking at buying some electrical connectors for my ecu wiring job. I brought some pretty crappy plugs in the past that have been terrible to assemble and didn't last very long. Any advice? I'm looking at these waterproof ones for the engine bay.

Or I was looking at these Deutsch connectors.

Probably should add most of the connectors I'm looking at using are on low amp wiring. Are there other options for higher amp plugs? Thermos/ external fuel pumps etc?

Thanks mate, the terminals on those ones look pretty meaty to take the extra current aswell. Yeah all the ones I've been looking at aren't cheap. Might end up going to an auto electrical place rather than buying online to get the right ones.

Depends really as you normally save online .... however you may end up with a load of unused connectors where as if you go to a local auto electical place you may just buy what you need if you see what i mean ... lol

Yeah that's a good point, I like having extra stuff laying around though, it always comes in handy.

I actually had a look at the local auto store on the weekend and I'm way better off buying in bulk from eBay. They are so expensive individually.

On the subject of waiting, vistaprint was the fast turnaround and postage I've ever seen. 2 days from ordering and it was at my door.

I ended up going with Deutsch connectors. I compared them to those water proof ones and the quality isn't even close. The Deutsch connectors are by far the way to go.

Those plugs require a barrel crimp tool. A good one is not cheap, Dmc seams to be what most use.

This is the one I got, was about $70. Pretty cheap in comparison to some but works well. These plugs are so easy to use, happy days Laughing
