Changed water pump today not an issue but when bolting the adjustable bolt thingy on the power steering pump the captive nut has become cross threaded and I cannot get a bolt in it. What are my options as I don't know how to get around this as there is no room around that area in the engine bay.
Any ideas or help would be great

chop a thread tap down so can be used in the space, can even weld a nut on end so can use it with a spanner or ratchet.
carefully working that in straight may clean threads up ok ... run a thread die over the bolt too ...

if you cant re-tap the thread its easy enough to just remove the bracket and either replace it or fit another one in good order
